Renovations to Bryce Resort
Basye, VA
This project was a complete renovation of Bryce’s 30 plus year old main lodge building. It included a completely new, state of the art heating and cooling system, significant upgrades to the electrical system, and a complete renovation of 10,000 square feet of the total 12,300 square foot building. New restrooms were installed in a location more suited to serve the revised building layout.
The new layout placed a Golf Pro Shop/Ski Shop in one side of the lodge, centralized the bar location for better management of the overall food service process as well as making it more convenient for customers year round to access it for casual and formal dining. A bay was built out at the end of the bar/dining area to allow guests to take better advantage of the views up the slopes and of the distant mountains. A central entry was created on the exterior of the building allowing guests and owners to enter into a central lobby where they can be greeted by the resort receptionist and local real estate companies serving their lodging needs.
