Addition to Sandy Hook Elementary School
SHENANDOAH COUNTY, VA
This 17,390 s.f. Addition to the existing school includes 15 new classrooms, restrooms and a Courtyard area. One of the classrooms is a Technology Classroom designed to house 28 computer stations. The standard classrooms contain 800 s.f. and were custom designed with the staff to include a computer/technology corner, student storage, teacher storage, counter space with a sink and cabinets, a window to the exterior, and a Telecenter V intercommunications system.
Site topographic considerations were integrated into the final design of the building.
